  • To send confirmation emails — On form submission, we send a confirmation email to your address and an internal notification to our team.
  • To arrange pickups — Your address is used exclusively for organising doorstep book collection.
  • To improve our website — Aggregated, anonymous usage data helps us understand how visitors use our site and make improvements.
  • To comply with legal obligations — We may retain records as required by applicable Indian law.

  • Service providers — We use Google Workspace (Sheets, Apps Script, Gmail) to store form submissions and send email notifications. These services process data on our behalf under Google's privacy terms. We do not grant them permission to use your data for their own purposes.
  • Legal requirements — We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or a legitimate government authority.
  • Business transfer — In the unlikely event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred as part of business assets, with equivalent privacy protections in place.

Your form submissions are stored in Google Sheets, hosted on Google's secure servers. We access this data only through authenticated Google accounts.

We take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to protect your personal data against accidental loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, or misuse. These include:

  • Restricted access to data — only authorised BookMart personnel can view submissions.
  • Encrypted connections — our website uses HTTPS to protect data in transit.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention: We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. Once no longer needed, data is securely deleted.

The only external services loaded on our pages are:

  • Google Apps Script — activated only when you submit a form, to record your data in our sheet and send email notifications.
